Cantonese Style Beef And Broccoli Stir-Fry

 

INGREDIENTS 

500g beef stir-fry strips

200g Passage to Asia Cantonese Stir-Fry Sauce

2 tbsp vegetable oil

1 onion, cut into wedges

2cm knob fresh ginger, finely shredded

1 small red capsicum, cut into strips

200g broccoli, cut into florets

Steamed jasmine rice to serve

Toasted cashews and green onion for garnish

METHOD

  1. Combine beef strips with 2 tbsp of the Cantonese Stir-Fry Sauce. Set aside to marinate for 10 minutes while preparing the vegetables.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a wok over high heat, add meat in batches, stir-fry until browned. Transfer to a plate.
  3. Add remaining oil and add onion and ginger. Stir-fry for 3 minutes.
  4. Add capsicum and broccoli, cook for a further 2 minutes.
  5. Return beef to wok and toss to mix well. Pour in remaining sauce and cook until meat and vegetables are cooked through.
  6. Serve with steamed jasmine rice. Garnish with cashews and green onions.
